Carlos and his wife were excited to embark on their retirement journey, with plans to move closer to family. Tragically, a Stage 4 cancer diagnosis cut their dreams short, leaving Carlos’s wife to navigate the overwhelming challenges of loss.
She faced a whirlwind of funeral arrangements, financial decisions, and the daunting task of managing their household affairs. Locating important documents, accessing online accounts, and dealing with government agencies added to the already immense burden.
This experience ignited the vision for Keep It Saved – a secure digital legacy platform designed to alleviate the stress and confusion families face during difficult times. We believe that no one should have to navigate the complexities of estate management and digital access alone.
Together with my co-founder, Martin Sanchez, a Principal Engineer at Microsoft with a passion for security and technology, we set out to build Keep It Saved. Our goal was to provide a platform that would empower families to protect their valuable information and ensure their loved ones have access when they need it most.
